The image below shows the finished thread organiser I created, now fully stocked with nearly 100 vibrant colours, all ready for my latest cross-stitch project. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Sheddington who supported me along the way. Your guidance made all the difference... and... With the owner’s kind permission, it was brought into the Sheddington workshop, where it began a new chapter. Though time and the elements had taken their toll, we saw potential beneath the wear. After a few structural repairs and several hours of careful restoration, the table has been brought back to life – its rich grain and solid form now visible once again. What could have been another pie... Great chunks of wood had been gnawed away, leaving the arch damaged and fragile. Thankfully, Valerie knew just where to turn. She arrived at Sheddington with some new timber and one of the broken pieces in hand. In no time at all, our skilled volunteers and well-equipped workshop turned that hopeful bundle of wood into beautifully crafted replacements. New bars were cu... It was a pleasure to show her around and share the vibrant community activity that thrives here. Munira was impressed by the wide range of initiatives we offer, including the repair work carried out by our team, the flourishing community garden, and the wellbeing projects that provide vital support to local residents. We are thrilled that Munira accepted our invitation to become a Patro... Starting at Waterloo we discovered a string of delightful green spaces and heard about their stories and some of the characters associated with them, before ending up with lunch just off Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens. We are hoping to plan another walk next month, so watch the calendar for more details! Arthur and the workshop team designed a prototype shelter, constructed mainly from reclaimed timber cladding. A total of 7 splendid shelters were made and installed at the School. Big thanks to Arthur, Simon, Vicky and Roger for a splendid job on what turned into quite a major project! The carpentry repair was undertaken by Simon, Arthur, Roger and Ian. Vicky helped with the initial repainting and the final coat was done by Scarlett's family themselves, which was a special moment for all involved. The be...
