We are delighted to announce that Sheddie Ian Robinson has been made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2021, for his services to Measurement Science. Ian is a Fellow at the National Physical Laboratory in Teddington where he leads a team developing the next generation Kibble balance. Prior to lockdown he could often be found in the Sheddington workshop trying to coax a 3D printer into life. During lockdown, Ian's son Alex delighted us with his clay figurines which were featured in Grayson Perry's Art Club. We offer our warmest congratulations to Ian, and hope to see him back in the shed soon!
